Dream Center/Spring Break CHANGES!

Hey loves!  There's been a few significant changes to the spring break/dream center opportunities.  Here's all the info!

As many of you know we have our Spring Break Mission to the AR Dream Center coming up in just a few weeks. We've decided to make a few big changes that will allow more RL students to participate and it will help us make a bigger impact on the community.

The Changes: we will no longer be holding student services every night, serving lunch and dinner and staying overnight. These changes significantly reduce the cost of the trip, so everyone who wants to serve can come out and participate. Also, having more manpower at the DC means we can do more projects and help more people!

Registration: students will be able to sign up on line (New Dream Center Mission Trip Registration) at their life group, or at the Welcome Center on service nights. They will sign up for a particular day, or days, they want to serve. Students are required to bring a parental release form for each day they come down to the DC if they plan on carpooling with us from GLR. We will send these home with your students or you can print one off (See attachment). Please be sure students have a parental release form for each day they plan to serve and ride with us. Don’t forget to include the date at the top.

Transportation: we’ll be carpooling from the GLR campus. Meeting there at 9am and returning around 5pm. Don’t forget the release form :)

The Cost: the cost is only $10! This covers their Dream Center t-shirt and the best part is, they can come every day. If you already have a DC t-shirt you do not need to purchase another one (unless you just want one!). You will pay for it when you get your t-shirt. They just need to wear their DC t-shirt everyday they come. They will also need to pack a lunch.

Agenda: we will be participating in community clean up, renovations to houses and the DC building, and doing yard work. Please bring gloves if you have them! We’ll also be having daily ‘game time’ with the kids that are at the DC. This will take place March 22-26 (Tuesday to Saturday) from 9am to around 5pm.
